Michele Spagnuolo used his access to the annual Year in Search list to place huge bets on which public figures would be the most searched on Google last year.

A Google employee has been arrested for allegedly using his access to company information to successfully place lucrative bets on the prediction platform Polymarket.

Michele Spagnuolo, known as AlphaRaccoon on Polymarket, made approximately $1.2 million from the wagers, the Justice Department says.
